Definition
A tenant without khatedari rights; transfer is restricted and khatedari may accrue on conditions.
Ghair-khatedar (गैर-खातेदार) is one of the classes of tenant under the Rajasthan Tenancy Act, 1955 — a tenant who cultivates the land but does not hold the full, transferable khatedari rights. Such land cannot be sold, mortgaged or gifted the way khatedari land can, and khatedari rights come only on the conditions the law sets.
