A buyer with funds, decision-making authority and genuine intent.
Rabi
रबी
The winter cropping season, sown after the monsoon and harvested in spring. It is the second of the two seasons for which girdawari is recorded. A parcel cultivated in kharif but consistently fallow in rabi is telling you something about residual moisture or irrigation, and is worth asking about rather than assuming.

A registered mortgage of land as security for a debt.
Rakba
रकबा
Area, recorded in hectares and ares in metricated records.
Rasta
रास्ता
A path or track. Recorded within a khasra as gair mumkin but not usable or closable by the holder.

Referral

Business arising from a previous client or contact; the highest-quality and slowest-building channel.
Referral rate

The number of further enquiries each well-served client eventually produces; the variable separating a business from a job.

A standing arrangement with an advocate to whom clients needing legal opinion are sent immediately.

An agent registered with the state authority, as required to facilitate transactions in registered projects.
Registered valuer

The professional whose valuation is required for bank, court, tax or dispute purposes.

Regularisation

A scheme under which unapproved development may be regularised on payment and conditions; availability and scope change.

The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, and the authority constituted under it in each state.
Reservation

Land shown in the plan for a planned public purpose, restricting interim use.
Restoration obligation
पुनर्स्थापन दायित्व
The duty to return land to a stated condition at termination, ideally with security for performance.
Reversion

What happens to the land and any construction if the arrangement terminates.
Runway

Available capital divided by monthly fixed costs; how long the practice survives with no income.

Sole proprietorship

The simplest structure, in which the business and the individual are the same person with no liability separation.

Progressive enlargement of scope or quality beyond what was costed.
